Scott Davis is Chair of the Providence Classical School in Rock Hill Board of Directors.

DR. Scott Davis

Chair

Mr. Davis is the senior pastor at Northside Baptist Church.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Campbell University and his master's and doctoral degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Scott and his wife, Marcie, have four children, all of whom attend or have graduated from Providence.

Scott has a passion for a well-rounded discipleship that sees people loving God with their heart, soul, mind, and strength. 


dr. Marcie Davis

President and Head of School

As the co-founder of PCS, Dr. Marcie Davis currently serves as Head of School and a non-voting member of the board.

Her responsibilities include overseeing school curriculum, programs, and the almost 50 faculty and staff members of PCS. She is tasked with setting and accomplishing the vision of the school under the guidance of the PCS Board to whom she reports.

Under her leadership, the school has grown from 24 students in grades K-8 to more than 300 students in grades K-12 and in our Simply Providence program for students with developmental and learning needs.

Davis worked with the Classical Latin School Association to establish the school and to achieve accreditation from that organization. 

Raised in the D.C. area, Dr. Davis first came to the Carolinas when she attended Campbell University as an Eakes Scholar and earned her bachelor's of science in mathematics. Upon graduation, she received graduate fellowships from the University of Louisville, where she earned a master of arts in mathematics, and from the University of Kentucky, where she completed a master of science in mathematics and a doctorate of education in curriculum and instruction.

She helped to establish the mathematics and education programs at Boyce College in Louisville, KY before moving to Rock Hill.


Randy Heinzl is Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Providence Classical School in Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Heinzl graduated with a B.S. in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Duquesne University.

He worked in several engineering and manufacturing management roles including Plant Manager and Director of Logistics in both small and large companies before entering the education field.

He was a high school mathematics teacher for 12 years in the public schools before teaching at PCS for five years until his retirement from full-time teaching in 2023.

Randy is a founding member of the PCS Board, having served in various business and financial roles since its inception.


keith roberson

Mr. Roberson is an intellectual property and corporate attorney. 

His wife, Susan, is a teacher at PCS, and their four children have attended PCS since 2016. 

Keith is dedicated to PCS' mission of providing an affordable, Christian, classical education.  Keith and his family attend First Presbyterian Church of Rock Hill.


Elizabeth Stewart is on the Board of Directors for Providence Classical School in Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Stewart is the Worship Leader at GraceLife Church in Pineville, NC.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in music from Hunter College in New York City, and will have completed her master’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary in May of 2024.

She enjoys leading worship at Christian conferences, having served over the past few years at The Billy Graham Training Center (The Cove), the National Conference on Christian Apologetics, and the Caregivers Conference; she was invited to speak on worship at the 2022 Free Grace Alliance International Conference.

Elizabeth is the founder and leader of a mentoring group for young women called Take Root which meets weekly in uptown Charlotte.

Elizabeth and her husband, Michael, reside in South Carolina with their boys, William and John, who both attend Providence.
